He gently whispers,  “Abide in Me.”  He reminds me that I can’t possibly bear fruit apart from the Vine.  I can bear endless, ripe, bountiful  fruit if I simply abide.  But we forget, don’t we?  We choose to abide in the things of this world that quickly fade and pass away.  It seems silly to do, but we are easily distracted by the world and it’s glittery stuff.

What’s calling your name?  What promises to bring you fruit, but only leaves  you with dry branches?
