“Don’t just marry anyone. Marry someone that adores you.” The advice that rings in my ears still today. A dear mentor in my life spoke these words to me. As a young adult, you wonder who you will marry. Is this “the one”? How do you know? What if I marry the wrong one?
This simple piece of advice stuck with me. Lots of people can love; but ADORE? That’s a whole deeper level of love.
We celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary this New Year’s Eve. I’m so thankful for the way you’ve adored me these past 10 years.
The way you cup my face in order to say, I see you.
The way you cuddle up close wherever we are.
The way you speak fondly of me in front of your friends and family.
The way you treat me in front of our children, always with those gushy kisses to make the kids squirm.
The way you are so tender and thoughtful.
The way you constantly tell me you love me and even better, show me.
I’m so thankful for the way you’ve adored me these first 10 years of marriage. I know there will be many more year’s of being adored and cherished ahead! Love you Babe!
