We have far too much time on our hands. We wear the garment of entitlement and refuse to change. We are far too comfortable. We love to lavish ourselves with wants and are barely satisfied with our basic needs. We spend way too much time on facebook and fight over the most petty of things. We even fight among our own, and our self-righteous tone is deafening.
Can you even imagine the impact we could have around the world if we used social media to help the oppressed instead of argue?
When I think of the orphan, I think of someone who has the right to complain about their current situation. If anyone has the right to whine about injustice and their needs not being met, it would be the orphan. But did you know… they are the most thankful of all people? They appreciate and are grateful for their very basic needs being met: clean water, proper food, healthcare, education, job skills and a loving home.
Isaiah 1:17 reads, “Learn to do good. Seek justice. Help the oppressed. Defend the orphan. Fight for the right of widows.”
Would you consider going to visit? Not just sponsoring a child (which is fabulous) but going… they need you, but you need the orphan more. It will wreck your world… for the GOOD.
What I LOVE about coreluv is they help the widow and the orphan at the same time. Dedicated and loving widows are employed to take care of these precious children. Who could possibly love a child more than a Grandma?
