Word Prompt- LONG
Waiting for an answer can seem to take forever.
-waiting on a diagnosis.
-waiting on arriving to a destination: “are we there yet?”
-waiting for a person to change.
-waiting for an answer to prayer.
Whatever it may be, waiting can seem long. We don’t like long. We like quick and fast and easy. But that is not what produces growth in our lives. Sometimes it takes the long to produce the fruit of a harvest.
There have been many times in my life I thought I was ready or prepared for a task. Well, I wasn’t, and God knew I needed to grow in some areas first.
God gives you and I the gift of LONG to prepare us for the bountiful harvest ahead.
Sometimes the harvest won’t take place in our own lives, but in the lives of the generation to follow. Perhaps in your grandchildren? Are you willing to be obedient TODAY in order to witness that firsthand?
So stay the course. Be obedient. Stay in it for the LONG haul. Learn to sing and dance and enjoy life in the long days. Do you need this reminder today, in the mundane and LONG days? I know I do.
Hope-filled reminders:
For someone in your life fighting cancer:
