slow down. still.
To slow the rapid pace, but for a moment. A fast-paced mind, is not ideal breeding ground for fruit. It is more a cluttered mess of thorns and thistle. Weeping echos forth, beckoning long and deep within; the chest is sunken and the shoulders throb. Oh the longing, just for a bite where the crunch is heard and the juice pours out, down the cheek. The fruit of The Vine. To be nourished, instead of fighting just to survive. So slow down, oh weary soul; be still. Abide, lest you wither and die.
Look around. Pay careful attention. Look for Him; not in experience, but in The Truth, that comes from His complete Word. But oh, how we still see Him, around us! The firmament. It speaks, daily. It declare His glory. In little arms that wrap around our grown-up leg. So pay attention, to the details of life. Love simplicity. Remove a busy heart, from the busy life. It will destroy. Pay careful attention to the life that is around you, instead of the things. Store up treasure in heaven where moth and rust cannot steal the joy.
Bathe in the red-lettered Truth. Linger long. Meditate and let it penetrate the darkness. The hardness. The sinfulness. Those thick vines, the ones that cloud the mind, the heart, the upward view of the heavenly, will begin to be cut down. The SON will peak through. A glimpse of His glory can be seen. Refreshment will come.
Today, over @ holy experience, Ann is talking about listening to God in our life.
She says, three ways to hear God today are:
1. Slow Down. Still.
2. Pay Attention.
3. Listen to the Word. He speaks in lines and in life.
