I never got the wardrobe memo for motherhood. Black and white stripes, for a lifetime of refereeing. I’m thankful that God gave me a natural whistle (also known as a loud mouth).
Some days (most days) I have no idea what I’m doing or what I’ve gotten myself into. It’s all I can do to keep on breathing. To stay afloat.
God gave me these children for a reason. He never makes a mistake, so I will once again, trust in Him. He loves my children leaps and bounds more than my heart even loves… so I can trust Him completely.
I want to finish well… this thing called motherhood. I know there will be many mistakes and heartaches along this journey; spilled milk and spilled out angry words you wish you could swallow back up and prepare for a more godly response.
On that jagged piece of holy criss-crossed wood, He spilled out His crimson blood and exhaled the most beautiful sigh….
It is finished…
Because He finished well, so can I.

Beautiful words with a timely reminder that because of Jesus’ sacrifice we have the opportunity to finish well. And even more importantly, we can trust him completely with all of us and with this challenging journey of motherhood. Pressing on, indeed. Thank you for your encouraging words!
