1.) Lies: Either the lies we tell ourselves, or the ones we choose to listen to from others. Shut out the lies.
2.) Time: We say that we don’t have time, when really, we can make time for anything if we want it bad enough.
3.) Effort: If we aren’t striving for our goals, it may mean that we are comfy right where we are at. Let’s face it, sometimes we just don’t want to work hard at something. Anything great accomplished in this life will take time and effort… we just have to do the work to reap the reward.
4.) Others: Is it possible that you are comparing yourself to others? This will trip you up. You have to figure out what is best for you, and base your standard on your very best, not the very best for someone else.
5.) Failures: Dwelling on all your past failures will only make you feel defeated. Choose to dwell on future successes, instead of past failures.
6.) Fear: It can be scary to think about accomplishing a goal. Fear can trap us and freeze our progress. Put aside the fear, and harness that emotion to push you forward.
7.) Repetition: Are you doing the same thing over and over, unwilling to make any changes? Sometimes we are doing the wrong thing, when all we need to do is change things up a bit.
8.) Doubt: All the “I can’ts” in your head are just stalling your progress. Doubt kills dreams, so kill the doubt first.
9.) Success: You’ve heard of self sabotage and it’s very possible you’ve self sabotaged yourself time and time again. A little success can be detrimental to your progress. The taste of a little success can feel good. You and I may get comfortable and celebrate too early, only to find ourselves going in reverse again. Keep moving forward.
10.) You: Yes, you. You are the one keeping you from accomplishing your goals. Go make it happen today!
