Back scratching. Yup, that’s it! Well, you know, that’s not completely it, but hear me out.
When we are free to touch and caress out soul mate, it allows them to relax and let the stress of life roll of their back.
What meaningful touch does:
1) It shows kindness.
2) It reflects grace.
3) It shows mercy.
4) It exemplifies compassion.
5) It expresses humility.
6) It takes selflessness.
7) It makes the other person feel safe.
8) It is a way to show love.
9) It knits two hearts together.
10) It breaks down tension/stress.
Who would have thought, something as little as personal touch in marriage would make such a difference! Let’s face it, most days we would much rather be the recipient of touch than the giver. But do me a favor? When you are the most tired and weary, let your guard down and scratch your spouse’s back. Not just a quick 1 minute scratch, but one that requires time and shows your love.
It is the simple things like this, done often, that keep a marriage sweet and tender. Sometimes, something as simple as scratching their back can show God’s love in the most magnificent way!

I love how my husband often messages me to say scratching my back is what he misses most. Oh, how I miss his touch. We are over halfway until his return home though!! Loved this because I’ve learned how true this is. Blessings.
