This past weekend was the big 7th Birthday Spa & Boutique party at our house! My husband gladly stepped out with our two younger boys! My sister and I held a party of 15 young girls! They were delightful and the three hours flew by! Find out some tips to hold your very own Spa & Boutique Birthday Party for your little girl! Many thanks to all the wonderful sites that sponsored this party! (PartyPail, Pretty Party Creations , NecessiTees, Purdy Prints, Party Passion Design, and Pop Goes The Party.)
1) Pick your paper goods: These adorable supplies caught my eye over at PartyPail. First I searched “Girls Birthday Party Supplies“, and the Pink Zebra Boutique set I loved immediately.
2) Send your invites. Here were some cute ones to choose from:
3) Decide on your decorations and embellishments:
First, I have been eyeing these tissue paper puff balls for years now. I finally You-Tubed how to make them. They are pretty addicting and easy and fun to make! I borrowed the curtains from my niece!
I snagged this gorgeous dress stand from my daughter’s room (purchased from Hobby Lobby last year), and borrowed the mirror and vintage perfume bottles from my mom.
4) The food and themed goodies:
I received these adorable little stickers from NecessiTees on Etsy. Find NecessiTees on facebook OVER HERE. They go on the bottom of Hershey Kisses! So adorable! The zebra printed items are buttermints from PartyPail.
For food and drink I served sandwich triangles (with salami, provolone cheese and a little mayo), popcorn, nail polish bottles made out of marshmallow rolled in melting chocolates and tootsie rolls, nail filers (the strawberry wafer cookies), and strawberry pink lemonade.
These adorable Spa Party flags were a download I got over at Purdy Prints on Esty. You can find them on facebook OVER HERE. Add them to cookies, straws, sandwiches, you name it!
5) Activities:
Shopping-
I had the girls “shop” in Riley’s Boutique. I set up a bookshelf and made it into a little shop. The girls got to take turn shopping with their pretend money for necklaces, lip gloss, hair bands, and rings.
Face Cleansing and drying-
Next we took time to clean our face with make up wipes, and dab them try with the circle make up remover sponges. They each passed around a mirror and checked themselves twice.
Nail Salon-
Of course we had to have time to do our nails! Some girls wanted to do their own, and others wanted help. Most chose a dark base coat with a sparkly second coat! Gotta have the sparkles!
Craft Time-
For the craft time the girls each made a bookmark! They were the quietest during this project! Each girl made their bookmark very unique and beautiful. I got a few large sheets of sparkly pink card stock paper from Joann’s and cut them into bookmarks, hole punched them, and the rest was up to the girls! They tied pretty ribbon on the end, placed stickers all over the front, and even some heart zebra cut outs I made from a few duck tape full sheets. So fun!
Inner Beauty Talk-
Before gift opening time, I talked to the girls for a few minutes about beauty. I explained how fun it is to get dressed up, do our pretend make-up, do our nails, and go shopping. But what God really looks at is our heart, and our inner beauty. I held a mirror up to one of the girls backwards and asked her if she could see herself. She giggled and said, no. I explained that we need to look into the mirror the correct way and so we need to look into the mirror of God’s Word (the Bible) to see what we need to learn about ourselves. 1 Samuel 16:7 says,
6) Dessert (Cake & Cupcakes):
I did a two-layer cake and used a Zebra printed sugar sheet to wrap around the base. It sticks to the frosting! For the top I did big roses made out of buttercream, pink frosting (two-toned).
For the cupcakes I used these sweet wraps from PartyPail. I topped each cupcake off with these assorted picks to match the them.
7) Thank you cards and favors bags:
Aren’t these completely and utterly adorable! They came from Party Passion Design on Esty.
The birthday girl wore this adorable bow from Pop Goes The Party. Find them on facebook OVER HERE.
