The most simple and healthy way to eat, is to eat food in their original, most natural state.
Whole Foods:
Foods that haven’t been messed with! These foods are straight from the farm: fruits and vegetables, whole grains, low fat dairy, lean meat, unsalted nuts and seeds.
Eliminate Refined Sugar:
It provides nothing but calories, added blemishes, and trouble!
Avoid Processed Foods:
Any food that has a label! I know, that’s probably everything in your cupboards! You don’t have to eliminate all processed foods (like whole grain pasta or natural cheeses), but if you can’t pronounce an ingredient on a label, avoid eating it (within reason).
Avoid Eating Out:
For the most part, eat foods that you have prepared at home. Also, instead of buying meals in a box, cook them from scratch. Don’t worry, you don’t need to be a chef, just clean, whole foods that need a little chopping, sauteing, and seasoning to make them flavorful and ready!
Make sure your meal or snack is balanced. This will help fuel your body and diminish hunger pangs.
By eating several small meals throughout the day, you can help boost your metabolism and reduce the chance that you’ll gorge on something not so good for you.

Traci, I love this post. We all have so much to learn about healthy eating. I try to eat this way because I have a lot of health issues and have learned a great deal the past couple of years about eating well. You are such an inspiration. I’d love to hear more advice like this…on your blog….??
xoxo.
