True that!
Truth.
The absence of lies, false pretenses, and masks.
Sadly, most of us are afraid of the truth. We walk through life pretending to be someone else for fear of the real us staring back.
We swirl the water and trace it with our finger. Each time our reflection starts to form, we slap our hand on the sun-glazed image.
But what do we really fear? Do you feel safe behind the ripples and murky image?
What do you fear from yourself? From others?
Rejection is probably at the core. Pain. Insecurity. Facing our faults and the hard truth about our frail humanity.
But the truth sets you free. It always does.
The lies you cherish build walls around your heart.
They keep you hidden.
You think they are protecting you, but they are really preventing you from truly loving, and being loved.
So sit, before that shiny water bed, and look… let your image, your true image form. Resist the urge to unsettle the water.
I see you. You are beautiful, just as you are. The real, true, YOU!
Now YOU choose to see you… the real you, God created you to be.
