I thought about researching some bible verses about friendship, slapping a few feel-good, cutesie quotes on here, but I can’t. My heart is heavy today.
“Often our most basic sense of well-being stems from our connectedness and sense of being unconditionally loved by the significant people in our lives.”~ Sally Clarkson
Friendships have the ability to bring healing and restoration, but also offer some of the deepest wounds and hurts.
Do you have friendships that are in need of mending? This could look like friendships with:
- your spouse
- a girlfriend
- your children
- your Heavenly Father
We are all wounded people, walking aimlessly about seeking for a miraculous balm to our souls. From the deepest parts of us we seek to be understood and accepted. When it is not received by another, we grieve. I grieve. Don’t wall off your heart because it’s been hurt; that will only do more damage.
If your physical relationships are in need of mending and it seems out of your control to fix, turn it over to God. God is in the business of healing, mending, restoring, making new, and bringing dead things back to life! He is always pro-restoration and never is for any type of lasting rift in a relationship.
Psalm 133:1 “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is
For brethren to dwell together in unity!”
