Twenty pounds.
That’s how much I want to lose by November 4th.
That’s 2 pounds a week.
It always sounds easy on paper but when you are surfing pinterest late at night while your hubby is away at a live football draft and all the yummy food is all up in your face, sometimes you just have to go upstairs and fill your bowl with cookie dough ice cream and pour some Hershey’s sauce all over it.
Yeah… sometimes.
I think I’m going to write a big 20 on the palm of my hand, on my bathroom mirror, on my fridge, and maybe I’ll even stick a post it note on my computer while I’m surfing pinterest.
Here’s my plan:
Sunday, Sept. 2nd- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, Sept. 9th- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, Sept. 16th- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, Sept 23rd- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, Sept. 30th- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, October 7th- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, October 14th- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, October 21st- lose 2 pounds
Sunday, October 28th- lose 2 pounds
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 4th- REACH GOAL OF 20 POUNDS LOST!
I know I can do it. It will take a lot of hard work. Determination. God’s strength! I need to learn to forgo what I want in the moment for what I really want… to be comfortable in the skin God gave me.
Until then, I’ll learn to be content. And smile a lot. And be thankful for where I’m at now.
What about you? Do you have a goal? Writing out your plan may help you.

I have some post baby weight to loose… I need long pants to fit for the fall. I started praying about it and what a help! Also I joined sparkpeople. It is free and a great way to keep track of your goals.
I am sure you can do it! And ever pinterest when hungry.

Me too! I have recently started using myfitnesspal.com to log my food and exercise daily. In order to lose 2 lbs. a week there needs to be a 7,000 calorie deficit. I need to burn calories and watch the ones I take in to do that. If I lose 20, I will only have another 16 to go to goal 😉

I know you can do it!
Have you looked at the Whole30 program? I started it a week ago. It was pretty tough last week but I feel like I may have turned a corner and actually feel like I have more energy. Type it into your search engine. I read about it and thought about it for about three months and finally started last Monday.
I will keep you in my prayers.
I definitely know what it’s like to feel tired and sluggish and want to drop some weight and feel better.

Hi Traci,
With your motivation and your fine plan you’ll surely meet your goal! My plan is also to loose the xtra 10 lbs I’ve gained during the last 3 years – so I’ll be with you in the challenge of getting fewer calories & more motion 🙂
I’m happy to have found your blog, your posts are vivid & encouraging!

Seriously??? After all the weight you’ve recently lost, I can’t imagine you have 20# more to go! I’ve been trying hard to lose myself…was recently diagnosed with a low thyroid. After working hard for 6 months of tracking my food, and exercising too…and not making any progress, I’m thankful to know that could be part of the problem. You continue to inspire me and I am thankful. SparkPeople is a great free program for tracking too. Best wishes on reaching your goal.

Wow, this is inspiring me. I start Monday out good by exercising and then it falls apart from there. However, I challenged my Husband that if I can lose down to a healthy weight which is about 20 lbs he will retire. He really needs to retire. We plan to serve a full time mission for our church; so it is important to get ready for this. I like the idea of setting 2 lb. goal each week. Thanks, for this one and blessing to you1

weekend eating kills me. I do good all weekend long and then the chaos of the weekend hits and I undo all I did.
