A Peak At My Weight Loss:
I’ve written about why the scale lies… but now I’m going to write about when the scale WINS.
All too often, in my weight-loss-nightmare adventure… I focus on the scale (results).
But, I heard an awesome quote at my Weight Watchers meeting last week that really stuck with me:
“If you focus on results, you will never change. If you focus on change, you will get results.”
Stop focusing JUST on the the number on the scale.
Start focusing on little changes you can make each day.
What I’m doing to lose weight:
1) Staying within my allotted points-plus value {33} , aka: smaller portions.
2) Reminding myself that slow and steady will win the weight-loss race.
3) Eating when I’m hungry and stopping when I’m full.
4) Drinking lots of water.
5) Writing down what I eat.
6) Still eating what I love, but making better choices.
7) Choosing to be satisfied with life and God… even when a satisfied amount of food doesn’t match up with my emotional-cravings.
8) I really try not to eat after 7 pm.
9) I do some sort of exercise each day (even if it is just a brisk 10 minute walk or some sit ups and leg lifts.
10) I envision the end result: a happier/healthier Traci who is comfortable in her own skin.
What helps you lose weight? How do you stay focused?
