A calm moment is rare in a mom’s chaotic day. But she needs it. She needs the inspiration to find God in the mess and the mundane that often defines her. She needs to laugh and remember why she loves being a mom.
I just love Kristen Welch. I got to meet her at Relevant last year. I was thrilled. You may know her from her blog, We Are THAT Family. She has also started the Mercy House in Kenya. She is real, down to earth, and loves the Lord.
Her personality really comes out in this fun, practical book for busy Mamas! It is an easy read, had me laughing out loud, and crying happy tears all the way through it! Really. Real. Flowing. Happy. Tears.
This book is for EVERY Mama out there. It incorporates scripture and a prayer at the end of each chapter.
One of my favorite stories is when her car broke down in traffic while she left the house in her pajamas. She says, I forgot that every time you wear your pajamas in public, your car quits.
I also loved this prayer: “God, my job is so big and my responsibilities are great. I grow tired in all that I do. My kids don’t care how much money is in the bank or how clean the house is; they just want me. They are learning from what I do. Help me to teach them well.”

Always love their necklaces 🙂
You know what’s funny? I received this book, “Don’t Make Me Come Up There”, and I didn’t even read it – I just gave it to a friend. 🙂
I love being mom because my children teach me so much.
I love being a mom because my kids teach me new things every day… about how to innocently look at the world, and also about myself. They are little mirrors some times 🙂

There is no better job for me than wife and mommy. Now that two-thirds of my children are grown, I can say that I loved every minute I had with them and still do! Now that I’m a grandmama I see it all through new eyes.
I follow your blog.
I love the paper bead bib necklaces from Mercy House.
One of the things I love about being a mom is seeing the world through a child’s eyes, the wonder and the curiousity.

It’s hard to narrow down why I love being a mom into one little comment but I love teaching them and how they teach me right back. I love all the hugs, kisses, and smiles that they bring into my life.
