You know that I love simple and good recipes. Here’s a really easy Betty Crocker version of a fall favorite: Apple Crisp!
4 medium tart cooking apples
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup flour
1/2 cup quick-cooking or old-fashion oats
1/3 cup butter or stick margarine, softened
3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Heat oven to 375.
Grease bottom and sides of a 8x8x2 pan with shortening.
Spread apples in pan.
Mix remaining ingredients and sprinkle over apples.
Bake 30 minutes or until topping is golden brown and apples are tender when pierced with fork.
My favorite part: Top with some vanilla ice cream!
