I’ve always struggled with not feeling beautiful! Most of my life I’ve felt akward, unproportioned, and unworthy. But God says I’m the most beautiful person to Him; and SO ARE YOU!
He didn’t make a mistake when he gave you that extra mole, that stocky build (when you’d rather be a size 4), or that goofy laugh. He made you special… just the way you are!
Here, at Ordinary Inspirations, I feel passionate about promoting women’s health and beauty. That is why, every Friday, I will be discussing a beauty tip (for your Inner and Outer beauty)!
Without being beautiful on the inside, we can’t fool anyone (at least not for very long) about our outward appearance. Psalm 139:23-24 says to examine ourselves before the Lord. Check in with Him daily. Read His Word. Memorize scripture. Pray. Confess your sin (1 John 1:9). Meditate on His truths. A guaranteed beauty tip!
PRAYER: “Dear Lord, help me to SHINE YOU, and not ME. Help my very countenance reflect You, everyday.”
Sometimes we may think it is selfish to care about our outer beauty. But guess what? It’s not. We need to do something special for ourselves every once in awhile. It rejuvinates us as moms, wives, and women!
Go on… get your beauty on! Don’t forget to check in the REAL MIRROR (God’s Word) first.
*** If you want, send me a jpg image of your beautifications! I’d love to feature you in next Friday’s post!***

I love this!!!! I can’t wait to read the following posts. I love the idea of pampering. Before kids it seems we have more time to do this – I used to pamper myself all the time – but now after Robi’s in bed I plop down on the couch and that’s the last of it before I plop in bed. 🙂 I will be taking more time to “beautify” myself in the evenings. Great idea!

Although this sounds silly, I’ve decided to start painting my nails on a regular basis.
{I’ve only painted my nails like twice a year, ever}

I love this post. I took some time this afternoon and got a manicure. After a weekend of digging in flower beds, I needed it. Now I have nicely shaped nails that are painted hot pink!

Great advice Traci!
I remember when I was growing up my grandmother used to tell me that no matter how beautiful you are on the outside, if you’re not beautiful on the inside people would see you as ugly.
And you’re so right.. a little coat of nail polish or taking time to just do something for yourself can make you feel a lot better about yourself.
I remember when I used to volunteer alot in my children’s school. Those moms all had maids etc and looked perfect in every way (you know what I mean). I would finish up scrubbing the toilets (or whatever I was doing) take a shower and paint my nails, put on some make up and sashay into the school as if I had nothing to do all day myself.
So here’s my little beauty tip… drink lots of water (it helps to flush your body of toxins and hydrates your body so you have a natural glow), get lots of rest.. if you can..(it does help with the bags under the eyes thing) Of course if you cant and you do get the bags and dark circles like me.. just keep something cool on your eyes for a while .. the cucumber slices work but so will just soaking cotton balls in cold water. (It also gives you a chance to rest those eyes for a while)
Have a great weekend!
Love & Blessings

Love LOVE this!!!! I can’t wait for every Friday to read more of your fabulous tips! I am newly married, and have no littles yet, however I do let “life” get the best of me alot, and I really needed this reminder. I too have struggled with feeling beautiful most of my life. Thank you for reinforcing in my mind how very important our inner beauty is — you’re right, w/o inner beauty from our Saviour we will never fool anyone for very long!
I am going to paint my nails and give myself a pedicure today =) Thanks!
