My sister was the one you would find nestled behind a mystery, romance novel; or better yet, in the kitchen with Mommy baking some warm, gooey bread.
Me?
You could find my sun-glistened curls bouncing in the wind! I loved being outside, (still do) crunching leaves under my warn sneaks, frolicking in the woods and kicking up puddles of creek-bed stream water into the brisk air. I was content to watch beaded water fall down blades of grass, smelling all four seasons roll in and out, never missing a beat.
I’d rather live life front and center than through a book.
But now… I love a good read! The practical, life-application kind. I love having my heart be stirred to action; a book that I can apply to my life in the here and now.
What’s on my reading list these days you ask? Oh I don’t know where to start… a bunch of WINNERS!

Traci.. I was a combo of you and your sister.. I loved the outdoors too but I LOVED reading.. still do. My compromise was to read in the boughs of a tall tree in our backyard and dream of being in the places I read about. As for your reading list.. great books and they are definitely on my wish list.. hint hint at my hubby 😉
All of those sound wonderful! I was a big reader when I was growing up…but I loved being outside too…so I would find a comfy blanket and bring it outside under my favorite tree with cold ice tea and read to my hearts content! 😀
