It’s good medicine for your mind!
It’s good medicine for your mind!
It’s good medicine for your mind!
We all know that exercise is good for our body; but more importantly, it is good for our mind!
I generally do NOT like exercising.
9/10 I don’t look forward to it.
I argue with myself for quite sometime about the whole ordeal. It is pretty humorous.
Do you have the same argument with yourself?
Give yourself a gift this Christmas! Make time to exercise. Just 20-30 minutes, 3-5 times a week.
You will be happier.
Healthier.
Think clearer.
Your family will thank you.
You will thank you.
Your mind will thank you.
“Exercise may be the most underrated and yet the most important behavioral strategy to recommend to clients. Walking is so easy, yet few people realize its importance. A 20-minute walk three times a week is beneficial to health in many ways. Aerobic exercise can produce substantial improvement in mood in patients with major depressive disorders in a short time.”
1. Exercise eases the negative symptoms of anxiety and depression.
2. Exercise improves your mood.
3. Exercise releases feel -good brain chemicals.
4. Exercise reduces immune system chemicals that can escalate depression.
5. Exercise triggers the production of endorphins. These natural opiates are chemically similar to morphine.
6. Exercise increases levels of serotonin, dopamine and norepinephrine.
Will you unwrap the gift of exercise this Christmas season? Remember, God asks us to be good stewards of our body… and that includes our mind!
As women, our mind is busy busy busy! What we think about affects everything…

Exercise is definitely on my list. Do I argue with myself continuously too? Yes, I do.
The Zumba Fitness workout sounds divine too.
My resolution list is very long for this new year.

I plan to unwrap the gift after Christmas. I really need to for many reasons, but the mental benefits are worth fighting for.

I heard a doctor speaking recently on the radio… he reckoned that 70% of his patients would cease to need his care if they took a 20 minute brisk walk every day. He was serious. Heart problems; cholesterol; high blood pressure; issues caused by being overweight; depression…. the list went on and on.
So – not to self: get started on your long-promised exercise programme! x

Brought our treadmill in the house and exercised 2x this week so far. I missed yesterday. I need to get in my 30 minutes today!
It is such a difficult time of year to exercise!
I hate it too, and easily talk my self out of it.
Thanks for the great reminder!
Merry Christmas!
