Buy some fresh green/wax beans from your local store, farmer’s market, or better yet, out of your own garden (if you have any left).
Break off those annoying end pieces.
Cook in boiling water for about 10 minutes until they float to the top and have a slight change to their color.
Pour the beans into a strainer, and drain out all the water.
Transfer beans back into sauce pan and add 1/2 stick of butter. Saute beans in butter, and add some salt, minced onion and/or minced garlic.
When butter is completely melted, sprinkle some Parmesan cheese over the beans (as much as you desire). We love cheese around here, so I make them pretty cheesy! Mix altogether and serve immediately.

Sounds yummy!
Yum! We are just now starting to pick beans from our garden. The growing season has been really stinky around these parts.
Why didn’t I ever think of this? I never thought to add cheese to green beans, but it looks great. I will try. 🙂 I have a friend bringing me beans tonight!
Oooh, these sound yummy! 😀 My kids love green beans, too!
WE love beans…we usually just do the butter and garlic salt…we will have to try the parmesan cheese. YUM
WOW, they really are easy… Of course the butter on them is kinda scary for a Weight Watcher like me. :o) I will def try these soon!!! Easy AND sound delicious.
